Job Description
Cosmos Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our staff. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, contributing to the design and development of a variety of projects. Responsibilities will include preparing detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering work under the general direction of Senior Engineers.
- Review and develop project designs.
- Plan and design sanitary sewer, water main, and wastewater treatment projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Water and Wastewater Superintendents for facility construction, operation, and repair.
- Oversee development and maintenance programs for water and sewer infrastructure.
- Assist in creating internal workflow processes and standard operating procedures.
- Support short- and long-term planning for the Engineering Department, particularly in Water and Wastewater process design and operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or related field)
- M.S. degree preferred but not required
- E.I.T. certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering analysis and design
Additional Desired Skills:
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic (H/H) modeling, stormwater planning, design, and monitoring
- Proficiency in MicroStation and Civil 3D CAD
- GIS and utility design capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to travel and work in various field conditions
